Released in 2021! GAN 12 is Gan’s latest 3×3 flagship. The GAN12 MagLev (Matte) 3x3 is at the very peak of 3x3 innovation and design. This flagship puzzle includes adjustable magnets in the pieces and an adjustable magnetic levitation tension/compression system. This technology utilizes opposing magnets to imitate the feel of a spring while also reducing friction and spring noise. This version has a matte finish out the outer surface.

The M means that the cube is magnetized, which means that small strong magnets help you pull the layers in place. MagLev stands for magnetic levitation and means that the springs have been replaced with levitating magnets to avoid noise and friction, and to speed up the cube. Matte stands for a beautiful Matte finish for stronger grip.

Overall a good cube for intermediate solvers … although I’ve experienced some problems with the tensioning, for example after removing the tension nut and putting it back I experienced some issues with the clicks sound on the white side and on the yellow side. But I was able to get the clicks again. But after doing that I’ve experienced some alignment issues on the white side, although this didn’t real affect my solving. Also I feel I should’ve gotten the uv version cause I heard it had more grip. Maybe one more thing to mention I’ve been experiencing corner twist and pops more on this cube than any other cube but that was mainly because I was on the most loose setting. Anyways overall a worth cube if you are intermediate solver and like some tight settings.
