The GAN Magnetic 3x3 (356M) is the perfect middle-ground between the top 3x3 models! While the magnet strength is not adjustable you will still find plenty of adjustment options through the dual-adjustment Numerical IPG core and alternate GES spring options.

The GAN 356 M is a modern, mid-range magnetic 3x3 speed cube. Out of the box, the GAN 356 M has a fast, stable feel that is very reminiscent of a mix between the GAN XS and GAN X V2, two of GAN's most famous flagships. The GAN 356 M checks off all the needs speedcubers have for a nice magnetic 3x3, and makes a good cube of choice for cubers who like GAN engineering with a side of simplicity.  

GAN also released a "Lite" Version of this cube, with no additional spare GES nuts.

A Good Cube

I bought this cube around one year ago from Cubuzzle. It arrived pretty fast. The cube is really good out of the box with pre applied lube. The magnets are strong. The turning is good. I have a very aggressive turning style and it matched my style. Sometimes it used to catch, but any other cube would also catch in the same situation, because of my aggressive turning style. Because of the strong magnets, you need to apply force to move the layers which is good but then if you can’t apply a lot of force for M layers, you should consider a cube with weak magnets or the GAN flagship cubes with different magnet strengths. You don’t need to apply that much force for M layers, but compared to my QIYI MS, it does look a lot. This cube is also not that heavy. Overall, I would give it a 5 stars and I love the colors on it. The colors are really vibrant. In the normal version GES nuts are given which are useful, It comes loose out of the box but I prefer it to be tight.

It's a perfect cube, especially for its price. The only problem is that it didn't come with a tool to change tightness or looseness.
